Job Description

The North Syracuse Central School District is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our Special Education team.  The successful candidate will provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments across various grade levels (PreK-12), ensuring access to the general education curriculum and fostering independence in education settings.

Qualifications:

• NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Students w/ Disabilities - Visual Impairment).
• Knowledge of visual impairments and their education implications.
• Experience or training in Braille, assistive technology, and accessibility tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
